I have personally been the wedding photographer at the venue Hillside Gardens. So I have the inside information on whether or not this is the best wedding venue in Colorado Springs. Pikes Peak is towering in the background. Hillside Gardens offers a visual feast for both your guests and your photographer. Those sunset shines over the mountains? Absolutely gorgeous. - A Botanical Wonderland
The gardens are bursting with colorful flowers, winding pathways, and green grass and plants that looks like it was created by Mother Nature herself on her best day. (Seriously, she must’ve had her coffee.) - Spaces to Suit Your Style
Hillside Gardens is a great option for your wedding venue as my professional photographer opinion. This is because it has one of the Best brides suit for getting ready. It is gorgeous white, with windows covering the whole wall. Whether you’re hosting an intimate gathering or a grand affair, the venue’s flexible indoor and outdoor spaces can accommodate your vision. Plus, there’s just something magical about dancing under the stars.

A wine bottle tree? Check. Vintage touches all over the place? Double check. Hillside Gardens is like the Pinterest board you never knew you needed. The venue has actual charm instead of staged perfection. - Convenience is Key
Hillside Gardens is located in the heart of Colorado Springs. This venue is easy to find, close to hotels, and perfect for guests who aren’t quite ready to rough it in the Rockies.
Pros of Hillside Gardens
- Stunning Outdoor lighting at night: Perfect for nature lovers and couples who want an organic, outdoor vibe. There are too many different Garden areas to take a walk, and take photos. Also at night, there are adorable string lights hung among the trees. The bar area is surrounded by trees and gardens. So cute!
- Endless Photo Ops: Every corner of this venue screams “frame me,” ensuring your wedding album will look like it belongs in a gallery.
- Friendly, Accommodating Staff: They’ll make you feel like a VIP. Even if you’re panicking over whether Aunt Linda’s gluten-free cake is arriving on time.
Cons of Hillside Gardens
- Weather Roulette: Outdoor weddings are glorious. That is until Colorado decides to throw in an unexpected snow—or hail—just for fun. Always have a Plan B.
- Limited Indoor Space: The gardens shine brightest outdoors. For very large weddings, you might feel a little squeezed indoors. The backdrop for the reception area is gorgeous mountains. The con about this, is that when the suns out – it makes for a really bright backdrop. Not ideal for photos.
- Rustic and Hippy Vibes Only: This venue does not include sleek, modern decorations. Hillside Gardens has a lot of eclectic decorations. These decorations are scattered all over the gardens. It gives you a hippy vibe. I am all about it! But some people would not like the vibe for their wedding.
