Spruce Mountain Ranch – A Winter Dreamland Wedding

A bouquet of pink and peach roses with greenery is next to two wedding rings on a white surface, partially covered by sheer fabric. The scene conveys a sense of elegance and romance. Captured at a beautiful Colorado wedding venue, Spruce Mountain Ranch.

Let me take you behind the scenes of one of the dreamiest, snow-globe-worthy weddings I’ve ever had the honor of photographing: Maria and Devereux’s magical day at Spruce Mountain Ranch.

A bride and groom share a kiss in a snowy landscape surrounded by trees. The bride wears a long, flowing white dress, and the groom is in a dark suit. Snowflakes gently fall around them, creating a serene winter scene. Location is Spruce Mountain Ranch

A Winter Dreamland Wedding at Spruce Mountain Ranch

Nestled in the heart of Colorado’s mountain charm, Spruce Mountain Ranch is one of those venues that seems to wrap you in rustic elegance, wide-open spaces, and just the right dose of mountain magic. But nothing—nothing—could have prepared us for the real-life winter wonderland that showed up on Maria and Devereux’s wedding day.

A smiling bride with long hair, wearing a strapless white wedding gown, stands indoors. Her arms show tattoos. Another woman in a green dress helps adjust the gown from behind. Natural light fills the room through a large window. Captured by Michelle, a Colorado Springs wedding photographer.

Yep, you read that right. This sweet couple said “I do” as fluffy snowflakes poured from the sky in the most beautiful way. Maria had dreamed of a snowy winter wedding, and let me tell you—she got her wish. It started snowing HARD. Like, the kind of snow that makes you feel like you’re in a Hallmark movie.

A group of six men in black suits, with one wearing a green jacket, stand smiling in the snow. They are outdoors, surrounded by trees and hills in the background.

And while it may have made everyone a little nervous (okay, okay… I may have had to gently nudge Maria to step outside into the snowstorm for just five minutes for portraits 😅), those epic bride and groom photos were so worth it. Her white dress against the falling snow, the way Devereux looked at her like she was the only thing that existed in the world—pure magic. Total chills (both from the snow and the love).

The joy these two radiated was contagious. Their love is the kind that glows, even in a blizzard. You could feel their excitement to start forever together, surrounded by their family and friends, wrapped up in the warmth of their celebration (and maybe a few cozy blankets too).

And the venue? Let’s talk about Spruce Mountain Ranch for a second. This Colorado gem is made for couples who want mountain views, rustic elegance, and plenty of room for dancing the night away. Whether it’s the sweeping vistas, the cozy indoor spaces, or the tucked-away corners perfect for intimate portraits, Spruce Mountain Ranch is truly a dream spot to tie the knot—no matter the season.
