Having had the privilege of photographing many weddings at Creekside Terrace by Wedgewood Weddings, I will tell you everything you need to know. Creekside Terrace – What You Need to Know
1. About this wedding venue:
- The venue is located in the heart of Colorado Springs. An easy drive for anyone who lives in the city.
- The best thing about this venue, in my photographer opinion, is the cute farmhouse chic style. The inside has mostly all white shiplap. Creekside Terrace has a gorgeous bridal suite. Additionally, the suite is large, has lots of light, and of course, white! Finally, this wedding venue also has many different options. You get to choose the perfect ceremony and reception that fits your taste.
2. My personal wedding at this venue
- I got married at Creekside Terrace (I know, I’m biased) about 6 years ago. I chose to have an outdoor wedding ceremony, in front of the sunset. We then danced the night away under the large white tent. The tent has chandeliers and hanging lights.
- Being a wedding photographer, I have photographed small intimate weddings at Creekside Terrace. Additionally, I have also photographed very large weddings. Basically, the venue has lots of variety of spaces to fit your needs.
3. Why Choose Creekside Terrace?
- When you get married here, you have access to the many cute wooden barrels, and lots of farmhouse style decor.
- Creekside houses its own DJ and bar service that you can have as a package deal.
- Creekside Terrace by Wedgewood Weddings used to be owned by a different owner and named Creekside Event Center. Now that Wedgewood Weddings owns this wedding venue, expect more affordable rates. Wedgewood Weddings is a great company that make themselves affordable to everyone. Without sacrificing service or grandeur.
4. What to Expect from Your Wedding Day
- The couple and their party can get ready at Creekside, and has access to all of the photoshoot locations on the premises.
- You can get married outside, and have a intimate reception in the upstairs reception room. Or you may do everything outside. You may even do everything inside if you wish. Whatever your heart desires.
- The house DJ and lots of disco lights makes for a fun dance experience during the reception.
5. Pros and Cons
- Pros: Beautiful setting, full-service wedding packages, easy access for guests, wedding day of coordinator, and close to Palmer Park for couple photos.
- Cons: The upstairs reception room is quite dark and brown. This is not ideal for photography. Never the less, the room creates a cozy and intimate environment for guests to let loose and have fun. Additionally, the Groomsman suite does not have the best lighting – and no windows. Although, the bridal suit ROCKS. The day is all about the bride, right?? 😉
6. Photography at Creekside Terrace
- There are stunning photo opportunities right on the grounds. A natural background by the creek, and trees and bushes that makes for perfect sunset photos.
- Creekside Terrace is perfect for elegant, vibrant, and true-to-life photos. Choose a photographer that you know will blow you away by your wedding photos.
7. Tips for Planning Your Wedding at Creekside Terrace
- Choose a summer or fall timeline if you are wanting to guarantee good weather for the outside sites.
- Coordinating with the Wedgewood Weddings team is so easy. They always have an amazing day of coordinator who will take care of all the little details.

- Creekside Terrace is a top choice for weddings. Mostly because the farmhouse style of this wedding venue is so adorable. The many options gives you exactly the wedding of your dreams. Additionally, there are many photo taking spots right on the grounds. Lastly, the venue is close by a mountain park if your wanting epic couple photos.
