Creekside Event Center is a local farm house style wedding venue. As a bride and groom looking forward to your 2025 wedding, you are probably wanting to know if Creekside Event Center is worth the hype or not. Good news, I have been a wedding photographer at Creekside Event Center and will tell you all the pro’s and con’s.
I will be going over the pros and cons for choosing Creekside Event Center
Creekside Event Center – also recently known as Creekside Terrace by Wedgewood Weddings & Events. The owner of this venue very recently sold to Wedgewood. Creekside event centeris a premier wedding venue – and on the expensive side. With recently selling to Wedgewood – we might be able to see more average priced weddings taking place. Wedgewood is known for having really amazing wedding venues at a do-able price.
What are the 3 pros at getting married at Creekside Event Center?
First of all, I got married at Creekside Event Center about 6 years ago! When they were very first opening. Since then, it has gotten more white tents, more chandeliers, and really has that “farmhouse” look down pat. It’s sooooo cute! They have continued to update the inside of this venue to be a fabulously chic farmhouse style wedding venue.
Secondly, I love that this venue always has an amazing coordinator. One of my FAV brides was a coordinator at creekside and we just “clicked.” I can really tell their wedding coordinators just know what they are doing.
Creekside is really close to Palmar Park! Palmar Park is a beautiful mountain back drop huge park. For epic mountain bride and groom photos, it’s not far to travel! About 10 minutes to be exact. I have had 2 wedding couples that opted to travel to palmar park for their bride and groom photos. It gave them a little car driving brake from the wedding day business, and the photos they got – they will never regret.
The three cons at getting married at Creekside Event Center?
I would say number one is not having immediate access to a mountain view. This venue is located right in the middle of Colorado Springs, CO. While there is a lot of green grass and plants, and honestly – if you were to do all of your wedding photos at the venue, you would still get beautiful photos. They have a lot of tree coverage, and a lot of WHITE which always looks great in photos. But no, you won’t get any actual mountains in the background.
Next, the indoor grooms suit is pretty harsh when it comes to getting photos (from a photographers stand point). There are zero windows. It’s a lot of yellow light (yuck).
The third and final con is the upstairs reception area is DARK. I suggested something to the coordinator on my last wedding there. I told her they should knock out the wall next to the outside and make it one big window! Haha. I know it’s not realistic. But, it’s extremely dark and the photos will look worse because of it.
To end, I hope that this list of pros and cons for Creekside Event Center (Creekside Terrace by Wedgewood) has helped you! Now you decide whether or not you want this venue for your wedding.
